Texas
I remember the day I left for San Antonio, Texas back in 1998. I had to get there to close on our new home and be ready to start work on 6/14/98.
I was scheduled to sign the loan papers on 6/12/98 so you can see how close we had cut it. Thank God for my mother who came with me and kept me sane through all the stress. My husband had to stay behind to get the moving van prepared and to close up our Albany home. He had my little dog and I had the cat. As I look back I can laugh at the escapades we had but at the time it was both scary and exciting.
This was a picture of a portion of our front yard. We bought a brick split level outside the city. I had to drive 30 minutes in good weather to get to work and in bad weather it took an hour. It was quite different from Albany where I had spent over 20 years of my adult life.
