Hi Everyone,
My name is Marie and I'm a retired surgical nurse with over 40 years of experience in nursing.
When I retired I couldn't figure out what to do with myself. I didn't want to go back to work but I wanted to have something to do each day. I started exercising and found that it filled that need. I wanted to share what I was doing so I decided to start my website and blog my experiences as a senior citizen.
I'll be 65 this year and I'm sure there are others like me out there that can't afford to travel and live the way they did when they were working but they don't want to "sit in a rocking chair" all day.
I’m a mom of three adult children: 2 boys and a girl. They each have children of their own which makes me a grandmother of 8 ranging from 9 months to 23 years. I’m married to truly my better half, Chuck for 21 years now.
I’m somewhat of a shy introvert, and a home body, but I do okay with public speaking. Strange when I spent most of my career as a manager or director of surgical nursing
I’m French, English and have a little Indian in me. A "mutt."
I am overcoming my battle with obesity. All my life I have been overweight and I'm finally getting that under control with exercise and good nutrition. I have learned that its not so much about weight as it is being healthy inside and out.
I hardly ever wear white, and if I do it ends up with a stain in about 15 seconds.
I love all things warm -cookies, blankets & my husband’s warm shoulder to lean on
I worked in the healthcare world until I retired after 40 years. When I started to go “stir crazy, I became my own boss in 2018. I’m a work in progress again like I was in 1976 when I started working in healthcare.
I used to be a gym girl, but it just wasn’t working for me so now I do everything fitness oriented from home. Oh, and I hate running.
I love all things involving spirituality, meditation, faith based worship.
I’m a Libra which means I’m indecisive.
I love Country Music and gardening.
I’m working on being a minimalist. I hate clutter. I love organizing things
I love the color blue, chocolate, ice cream and flowers. I love animals and once thought of being a vet.
